Good Questions

In our classes, we like to ask Darn Good Questions. Here are a few that you might want to answer – or, even better, ask others.

Who’s responsible for your safety?

It’s easy to think there’s a simple answer, and in one sense there is. In life, we are all responsible for our safety. But at work, there may be other answers, too.

Who else is responsible for your safety?

At work, every supervisor is responsible for the safety of those who they supervise.  And that responsibility goes all the way up the chain of command to the very top. So, there may be a lot of people responsible for your safety.

That still leaves a lot of people off the hook for being responsible for the safety of others.

What’s your responsibility when you see someone you are not responsible for working unsafely?
