Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 or older when they enter. Employees of Balmert Consulting, LLC and members of their immediate households are not eligible. Existing clients may enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

How to enter
First entry: submit the online form at balmert.com/NSC. Bonus entry: visit Balmert Consulting at Booth 1102 during the Expo and have the team record your visit. Limit one online entry and one booth-visit bonus entry per person. Attendance is not required to enter or win.

Entry period
Online entries begin when the entry page is published and close at 11:59 p.m. ET on September 16, 2026. The bonus-entry opportunity is available only while Booth 1102 is open during the NSC Safety Congress & Expo, September 14-16, 2026.

Optional choices
No purchase, conference registration or newsletter subscription is required. Subscribing to Managing Safety Performance NEWS is a separate, optional choice that does not affect eligibility or odds of winning.

Prizes and odds
Ten prizes will be awarded. Each prize is one autographed copy of Paul D. Balmert's Alive and Well at the End of the Day: The Supervisor's Guide to Managing Safety in Operations, approximate retail value $74. Total approximate retail value: $740. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Drawing and notification
Ten potential winners will be selected at random after the Expo and contacted using the information provided. A potential winner must respond within five business days and may be required to confirm eligibility and provide a mailing address. If a potential winner does not respond or is ineligible, an alternate may be selected. Prizes will be mailed; no cash alternative is offered.

General terms
Balmert Consulting may disqualify incomplete, duplicate, automated, fraudulent or altered entries and may modify, suspend or cancel the drawing if circumstances beyond its reasonable control affect its integrity. Entry information will be used to administer the drawing and communicate about the promotion, subject to Balmert Consulting's privacy policy. Federal, state and local laws apply.
