Essa n\u00e3o \u00e9 a cultura aqui. \u201d<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-2\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801\" class=\"Normal\">Tenho certeza de que voc\u00ea \u00e9 perfeitamente capaz de preencher essa lacuna - para a sua roupa.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-4\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-3\" class=\"Normal\">Essa diferen\u00e7a - parte do tempo versus todo o tempo - deve-se em grande parte \u00e0 perspectiva. Do HQ, a cultura parece uma floresta: n\u00e3o \u00e9 o que um ou dois est\u00e3o fazendo, mas o que centenas e milhares deveriam estar fazendo. Continue lendo: a cultura n\u00e3o \u00e9 pouca coisa.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-14\" class=\"normal1\"><strong><span id=\"u77801-13\" class=\"Paragraph-Title\">\u201cA Cultura Comeu Nossa Reputa\u00e7\u00e3o Corporativa\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p id=\"u77801-16\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-15\" class=\"Normal\">Essas palavras exatas serviram de manchete para um artigo sobre cultura que Lou Gerstner escreveu para o Wall Street Journal. Quando se trata de experi\u00eancia e credibilidade, o Sr. Gerstner tem muito de ambos: ele atuou como CEO da RJR Nabisco e da IBM, fazendo um excelente trabalho administrando uma empresa de biscoitos e uma empresa de computadores. O cara pode administrar!<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-18\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-17\" class=\"Normal\">O Sr. Gerstner pegou a caneta (mais provavelmente colocou os dedos em um teclado. Ele foi um cara da IBM por mais de uma d\u00e9cada) para fazer obje\u00e7\u00f5es ao que um certo ex-CEO de banco de varejo tinha a dizer sobre um fal\u00eancia de alto perfil no ranking de seu banco no ano passado:<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-20\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-19\" class=\"Normal\">\u201cAo descrever o que causou um recente desastre no banco de varejo, o CEO disse que os funcion\u00e1rios n\u00e3o honraram a cultura do banco. Eles n\u00e3o fizeram o que pedimos, ou seja, &#039;colocar o cliente em primeiro lugar&#039;. \u201d<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-22\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-21\" class=\"Normal\">Gerstner continuou: \u201cEsta n\u00e3o \u00e9 a primeira vez que vejo l\u00edderes corporativos culparem uma falha na &#039;cultura&#039; por grandes defici\u00eancias no desempenho de suas empresas.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-24\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-23\" class=\"Normal\">Pense nisto: aqui est\u00e1 um ex-CEO de alto perfil chamando outro CEO (na \u00e9poca, atual) por jogar seus funcion\u00e1rios debaixo do \u00f4nibus. Por n\u00e3o \u201chonrar a cultura\u201d. No Wall Street Journal, nada menos. Malditas palavras de luta.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-26\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-25\" class=\"Normal\">Estou pensando em convidar cada um para ser um editorialista convidado para uma futura edi\u00e7\u00e3o do MSP News sobre o assunto de cultura corporativa - e SEGURAN\u00c7A. Se eles concordarem, meu maior desafio de seguran\u00e7a ser\u00e1 garantir que ningu\u00e9m se machuque.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-28\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-27\" class=\"Normal\">Mas, primeiro, eles ter\u00e3o que concordar com uma defini\u00e7\u00e3o comum - e de bom senso - de cultura. Pelo que li, eles n\u00e3o est\u00e3o na mesma p\u00e1gina. Nem mesmo perto.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-30\" class=\"normal1\"><strong><span id=\"u77801-29\" class=\"Paragraph-Title\">Cultura?<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p id=\"u77801-32\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-31\" class=\"Normal\">Neste canto: O CEO do Banco, para quem cinco mil banc\u00e1rios \u201cn\u00e3o honraram\u201d a cultura do seu banco, que se encontra na sua declara\u00e7\u00e3o de valores corporativos. No outro canto: o ex-CEO da Computer and Cookie Company que escreve, se voc\u00ea quiser entender a cultura real, \u201cn\u00e3o olhe para a declara\u00e7\u00e3o de valor no manual do novo funcion\u00e1rio\u201d.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-34\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-33\" class=\"Normal\">Palavras, palavras, palavras. J\u00e1 basta.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-36\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-35\" class=\"Normal\">No que se refere \u00e0 cultura a partir deste ponto, vamos usar esta defini\u00e7\u00e3o simples: \u201cCultura \u00e9 a maneira como as coisas realmente s\u00e3o por aqui\u201d. N\u00e3o me agrade\u00e7a por isso: essa defini\u00e7\u00e3o vem de Noel Tichy. Quando se trata de cultura, Noel conhece cultura.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-38\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-37\" class=\"Normal\">Voc\u00ea tamb\u00e9m. O mesmo acontece com todo l\u00edder da linha de frente. \u00c9 assim que as coisas realmente s\u00e3o. No mundo real. Onde voc\u00ea trabalha. Cultura n\u00e3o s\u00e3o palavras em um p\u00f4ster na parede. Na maioria dos lugares, a cultura n\u00e3o \u00e9 nada parecida com o que os altos executivos querem ... ou mesmo pensam que possa ser.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-40\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-39\" class=\"Normal\">Mas \u00e9 real. E muito importante. E muitas vezes um problema real para os respons\u00e1veis diretos pela execu\u00e7\u00e3o do trabalho. Feito com seguran\u00e7a.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-42\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-41\" class=\"Normal\">Sem mencionar os que est\u00e3o no topo, que podem ficar chocados - ou at\u00e9 mesmo demitidos, como o CEO daquele banco de varejo acabou ficando - pelo que REALMENTE era a cultura em sua empresa. Esses cinco mil seguidores dele n\u00e3o \u201cdeixaram de honrar a cultura\u201d. Eles eram a cultura.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-44\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-43\" class=\"Normal\">Doh.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-46\" class=\"normal1\"><strong><span id=\"u77801-45\" class=\"Paragraph-Title\">Realidade \u00e9 realidade<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p id=\"u77801-48\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-47\" class=\"Normal\">\u00c9 tudo t\u00e3o simples. A cultura \u00e9 como as coisas realmente s\u00e3o. Se voc\u00ea quer conhecer a cultura, tudo que voc\u00ea precisa fazer \u00e9 procurar a cultura. N\u00e3o se preocupe com os outliers: o que o melhor e o pior est\u00e3o fazendo. Veja o que quase todo mundo est\u00e1 fazendo. Em coisas que importam, para voc\u00ea e para a seguran\u00e7a. A maioria das pessoas relata quase acidentes? Enrolar as mangueiras? Arrumar as coisas? Segure-se no corrim\u00e3o? Preencher cuidadosamente as listas de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o? Siga fielmente o processo JSA? Aparece nas reuni\u00f5es na hora certa? Preste aten\u00e7\u00e3o nas reuni\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a?<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-50\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-49\" class=\"Normal\">Essas s\u00e3o as suas \u201cdimens\u00f5es culturais\u201d - fantasia sofisticada para comportamento coletivo sobre um assunto espec\u00edfico. Colete alguns dados, olhe para eles com honestidade e voc\u00ea estar\u00e1 no caminho certo para conhecer sua cultura. Voc\u00ea pode gostar do que v\u00ea; voc\u00ea pode n\u00e3o. Mas \u00e9 o que \u00e9.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-52\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-51\" class=\"Normal\">Isso n\u00e3o \u00e9 ci\u00eancia de foguetes. \u00c9 ci\u00eancia social.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-54\" class=\"normal1\"><strong><span id=\"u77801-53\" class=\"Paragraph-Title\">Cultura: O Desafio!<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p id=\"u77801-56\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-55\" class=\"Normal\">Quando um supervisor diz: \u201cEstou lutando contra a cultura\u201d, quase sempre est\u00e1 certo. \u00c9 como nadar contra a corrente: lutar contra a corrente exige um grande investimento de energia para simplesmente ficar onde voc\u00ea est\u00e1, quanto mais para fazer progresso contra a corrente.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-58\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-57\" class=\"Normal\">Por outro lado, quando um executivo diz: \u201cPrecisamos criar uma cultura onde ...\u201d eles quase sempre est\u00e3o errados. Isso porque j\u00e1 existe uma cultura. Mas provavelmente n\u00e3o \u00e9 a cultura que eles desejam.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-60\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-59\" class=\"Normal\">Assim, o trabalho que o executivo enfrenta \u00e9 MUDAR a cultura. Trabalho duro, pois requer muito mais energia do que eles pensam; frequentemente, muito mais do que est\u00e3o dispostos a investir. Primeiro, h\u00e1 a energia necess\u00e1ria para destruir a cultura existente: ter sucesso em fazer com que o grosso das pessoas &quot;pare de fazer isso&quot; ou &quot;pare de fazer assim&quot;.<\/span><\/p><p id=\"u77801-62\" class=\"normal1\"><span id=\"u77801-61\" class=\"Normal\">Mas espere: h\u00e1 mais.
