Todos na roupa est\u00e3o sentados na sala de reuni\u00f5es enquanto entramos para liderar a sess\u00e3o de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p><p>Na fila da frente, onde a maioria dos assentos est\u00e1 vazia, est\u00e3o tr\u00eas dos nossos melhores funcion\u00e1rios. Sorrindo, felizes por estarem na reuni\u00e3o e interessados no que est\u00e1 para ser anunciado, eles at\u00e9 parecem felizes em nos ver. Estamos mais do que felizes em v\u00ea-los. De fato, desejamos que toda a sala estivesse cheia de pessoas como elas.<\/p><p>Mas a vida em opera\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o \u00e9 assim. Do outro lado da sala, bra\u00e7os cruzados, chap\u00e9us puxados para baixo e \u00f3culos de sol, sempre ver\u00edamos \u201cos suspeitos de sempre\u201d.<\/p><p>N\u00e3o podemos dizer que estamos um pouco surpresos. Penduramos p\u00f4steres na sala de confer\u00eancias para lembrar a todos que &quot;seu desempenho em seguran\u00e7a come\u00e7a com sua atitude&quot;.<\/p><p>Quando tudo mais falhou, durante as avalia\u00e7\u00f5es de desempenho, fizemos o poss\u00edvel para aconselhar e treinar aqueles com atitudes ainda ausentes.<\/p><p>Por todo o nosso esfor\u00e7o, o que tivemos para mostrar? Raramente qualquer coisa.<\/p><h4><strong>G\u00eanio no trabalho<br \/><br \/><\/strong><\/h4><p>Um dos benef\u00edcios de crescer na administra\u00e7\u00e3o na gera\u00e7\u00e3o Baby Boomer foi que fomos expostos a alguns dos maiores pensadores sobre o assunto da administra\u00e7\u00e3o: not\u00e1veis como Peter Drucker; W. Edwards Deming, Tom Peters e Phillip Crosby.<\/p><p>Adicione a essa lista Dr. Richard Beckhard.<\/p><p>O nome Richard Beckhard pode n\u00e3o ser t\u00e3o familiar para a nossa gera\u00e7\u00e3o. Avalie o impacto das id\u00e9ias no mundo das pessoas no trabalho e descobrir\u00e1 que Beckhard \u00e9 igual a Deming. A experi\u00eancia do Dr. Beckhard est\u00e1 no campo do comportamento da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o: o relacionamento entre as pessoas no trabalho. Assim como Deming aplicou os princ\u00edpios da estat\u00edstica \u00e0 qualidade do produto de fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o, Beckhard traduziu os princ\u00edpios do comportamento humano para o mundo do trabalho.<\/p><p>Professor de longa data do MIT, Beckhard atuou como consultor de algumas das maiores empresas e setores do mundo. Na d\u00e9cada de 1970, quando a ind\u00fastria da avia\u00e7\u00e3o comercial concluiu que a falta de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o no cockpit era uma das principais causas de acidentes, a ind\u00fastria contratou o professor Beckhard para analisar o problema, descobrir as causas e fazer recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es. O trabalho do Dr. Beckhard serviu de base para o que hoje \u00e9 conhecido como CRM - Crew Resource Management.<\/p><h4><strong>O m\u00e9dico faz uma chamada em casa<br \/><br \/><\/strong><\/h4><p>Quase vinte anos atr\u00e1s, um pequeno grupo de gerentes teve o raro privil\u00e9gio de passar um dia com o Dr. Beckard, no que representava um f\u00f3rum aberto.<\/p><p>Se esper\u00e1vamos a presen\u00e7a imponente do Dr. Deming ou a elegante eleg\u00e2ncia de Peter Drucker, ter\u00edamos uma surpresa. O Dr.Beckhard parecia - e agia - como se estivesse t\u00e3o confort\u00e1vel sentado em uma grande cadeira - quanto o Papai Noel na Macy&#039;s. Que \u00edcone maravilhosamente acess\u00edvel.<\/p><p>Obviamente, nenhum de n\u00f3s era inteligente o suficiente para vir preparado com boas perguntas, ent\u00e3o o Dr. Beckhard deu aula. E o impacto foi duradouro.<\/p><h4><strong>CRM - a hist\u00f3ria por dentro<br \/><br \/><\/strong><\/h4><p>O Dr. Beckhard nos contou tudo sobre sua experi\u00eancia com o estudo da tripula\u00e7\u00e3o do cockpit da avia\u00e7\u00e3o. &quot;Como voc\u00ea pode ver o que est\u00e1 acontecendo sem realmente estar l\u00e1?&quot; ele perguntou. Sua solu\u00e7\u00e3o: voe na poltrona e fa\u00e7a muitas anota\u00e7\u00f5es. Ainda rimos ao pensar no Dr. Beckhard tentando afivelar os estreitos limites de um assento de pulo da cabine. Aposto que o Papai Noel nunca teve que aturar isso.<\/p><p>Enquanto ele observava a vida na cabine de pilotagem, ficou claro que um segmento consider\u00e1vel da popula\u00e7\u00e3o de pilotos de companhias a\u00e9reas, crescendo nas for\u00e7as armadas, caiu na armadilha de dar e aceitar ordens sem questionar as decis\u00f5es de comando. Essa ades\u00e3o inquestion\u00e1vel \u00e0s ordens do capit\u00e3o havia, em mais de uma ocasi\u00e3o, deixado erros fatais no julgamento.<\/p><h4><strong>Dr. Beckard sobre Atitude<br \/><br \/><\/strong><\/h4><p>Estudante de comportamento humano, Beckhard n\u00e3o discordou da firmeza de nossa premissa de que, ao administrar atitudes, estar\u00edamos consertando a causa raiz do comportamento. Beckhard, por\u00e9m, apontou que, ao tentar gerenciar atitudes, voc\u00ea fica com dois problemas, nenhum dos quais \u00e9 irrelevante.<\/p><p>O primeiro problema: cabe ao indiv\u00edduo fazer a mudan\u00e7a de atitude. Os verdadeiros g\u00eanios t\u00eam a capacidade de explicar as coisas em termos simples que o resto de n\u00f3s pode entender.<\/p><p>Beckhard argumentou sobre a loucura de tentar administrar a atitude de um pequeno grupo de gerentes h\u00e1 quase vinte anos. tivessem a atitude certa sobre seguran\u00e7a; ver\u00edamos menos pesquisas sobre atitudes de seguran\u00e7a; e ou\u00e7a menos sobre trabalhar em \u201ccultura\u201d para fazer com que todos pensem da mesma maneira sobre seguran\u00e7a.<\/p><p>Mas a maioria de n\u00f3s n\u00e3o ouviu a mensagem, e continuamos nos atendendo a mudan\u00e7as de atitude como forma de melhorar o desempenho da seguran\u00e7a.<\/p><p>\u00c9 um dos maiores erros que os gerentes cometem ao gerenciar o desempenho da
