En ce qui concerne notre s\u00e9curit\u00e9 personnelle - au travail et \u00e0 la maison - nous faisons chaque jour un grand nombre d'hypoth\u00e8ses sur les choses et les personnes. Petits et grands.<\/span><\/p>\n

Faire des hypoth\u00e8ses commence par le trajet jusqu'au travail. En traversant un feu de signalisation vert, nous supposons que chaque conducteur venant en sens inverse s'arr\u00eatera lorsque son c\u00f4t\u00e9 sera rouge. Lorsque nous sommes le conducteur venant en sens inverse, nous supposons que les freins de notre voiture fonctionneront. Au passage \u00e0 niveau, nous supposons que si la porte est ouverte et que les feux ne clignotent pas, il n'y a pas de train qui arrive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pourtant, nous savons tous par exp\u00e9rience que les conducteurs sont connus pour faire fonctionner les feux rouges et les panneaux d'arr\u00eat; Les pauses de v\u00e9hicules sont connues pour \u00e9chouer; Les signaux de passage \u00e0 niveau ne fonctionnent pas toujours comme pr\u00e9vu.<\/span><\/p>\n

D'un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, au travail, nous sommes oblig\u00e9s de faire certaines choses parce que nous n'avons pas le droit d'assumer quelque chose. Nous mettons un casque parce que nous ne pouvons pas supposer que rien ne tombera et nous frappera \u00e0 la t\u00eate. Nous nous accrochons \u00e0 la main courante dans l'escalier parce que nous ne pouvons pas supposer que nous ne tr\u00e9bucherons pas et ne tomberons pas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il est impossible de v\u00e9rifier chaque chose dans le monde - ou personne sur la plan\u00e8te - qui pourrait repr\u00e9senter une source de pr\u00e9judice pour nous. Mais cela ne fait pas de mal de consid\u00e9rer ce que nous supposons. Et chaque fois que nous faisons un effort pour \u00abfaire confiance - mais v\u00e9rifier\u00bb, nous faisons un pas positif vers le retour \u00e0 la maison vivant et bien \u00e0 la fin de la journ\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n
