Si vous vous \u00e9chouiez sur une \u00eele d\u00e9serte et perdiez le compte des jours, vous ne sauriez probablement pas distinguer le 29 d\u00e9cembre<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0\u00e0 partir du 3 janvier<sup>rd<\/sup>. Mettre officiellement un terme \u00e0 tout cela et recommencer \u00e0 z\u00e9ro r\u00e9pond \u00e0 un besoin important des gestionnaires, celui de planifier et d&#039;\u00e9valuer les performances.<\/p><p>Pour une bonne raison et un objectif pr\u00e9cis : planifier et \u00e9valuer sont deux des quatre fonctions fondamentales de votre m\u00e9tier, la gestion d&#039;une entreprise. Au retour des vacances, le d\u00e9but de la nouvelle ann\u00e9e met ces deux fonctions au premier plan.<\/p><p><strong>La prochaine grande nouveaut\u00e9<\/strong><\/p><p>En prenant un nouveau d\u00e9part dans la nouvelle ann\u00e9e, il est tentant de se concentrer sur \u00ab la prochaine grande nouveaut\u00e9 \u00bb. Si vous \u00e9voluez dans le monde des affaires depuis tr\u00e8s longtemps, vous savez qu&#039;il y a toujours une nouvelle id\u00e9e audacieuse ou un processus r\u00e9volutionnaire qui fait son apparition. Ils sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s comme le moyen infaillible de r\u00e9soudre un gros probl\u00e8me. Faites-le, faites-le fid\u00e8lement, votre probl\u00e8me sera r\u00e9solu. Non pas qu&#039;ils n&#039;aient pas eu leurs avantages, mais vu de l&#039;ext\u00e9rieur, tout semble \u00eatre comme d&#039;habitude.<\/p><p>Ensuite, il y a eu ces autres gros trucs qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9mont\u00e9s presque aussi vite qu&#039;ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9s. Comme les cercles de qualit\u00e9 et l&#039;enregistrement ISO. Bien que, contrairement aux d\u00e9corations de No\u00ebl \u00e0 la maison, ceux-ci n&#039;aient pas \u00e9t\u00e9 ressortis l&#039;ann\u00e9e suivante. Lorsque ces plans impliquent de g\u00e9rer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, vous avez le devoir et l&#039;obligation envers vos fid\u00e8les collaborateurs qui travaillent dans des conditions dangereuses de faire les choses qui les rendront r\u00e9ellement plus en s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p><p><strong>La sagesse conventionnelle<\/strong><\/p><p>En dessous de ces grandes nouveaut\u00e9s se trouvent ces \u00ab id\u00e9es re\u00e7ues \u00bb populaires qui se propagent comme la grippe. D\u00e8s qu&#039;elles sont accept\u00e9es comme la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, et toute la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Investissez du temps et des efforts dans un examen minutieux, elles se r\u00e9v\u00e8lent souvent n&#039;\u00eatre qu&#039;\u00e0 moiti\u00e9 sages. Autrement dit, on les appelle sophomoric.\u00a0<\/p><p>Cela n\u2019emp\u00eache pas les gens intelligents de sauter dans le train en marche ; c\u2019est l\u2019un de ces biais cognitifs emb\u00eatants qui affligent les managers.<\/p><p>Ce panneau d\u2019avertissement ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 affich\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re visible, que pensez-vous de l\u2019id\u00e9e re\u00e7ue selon laquelle \u00ab nous avons besoin de leaders, pas de managers \u00bb ?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Vous connaissez peut-\u00eatre des managers qui n&#039;ont jamais vu une proc\u00e9dure qui ne leur plaisait pas. Cr\u00e9er une nouvelle proc\u00e9dure \u00e9tait leur solution \u00e0 tous les probl\u00e8mes ; le syst\u00e8me de gestion \u00e9tait une bien meilleure solution que le fait que les dirigeants dirigent mieux. Je connais bien ce genre de personnes.\u00a0<\/p><p>La gestion sur papier ou depuis le bureau ne permet pas d&#039;obtenir une ex\u00e9cution fabuleuse. Les dirigeants doivent diriger.\u00a0<\/p><p>Mais ce n&#039;est l\u00e0 qu&#039;une partie de l&#039;histoire. L&#039;autre moiti\u00e9 consiste \u00e0 avoir un bon sens de l&#039;orientation : un ensemble d&#039;objectifs importants, un plan pratique pour les atteindre, les moyens de suivre les progr\u00e8s et le bon sens de s&#039;adapter lorsque les choses ne se passent pas comme pr\u00e9vu. Si ces fonctions vous semblent famili\u00e8res, c&#039;est parce qu&#039;elles se r\u00e9sument aux \u00e9l\u00e9ments de planification, d&#039;organisation et d&#039;\u00e9valuation du processus de gestion.<\/p><p>Aucun suiveur sain d&#039;esprit ne veut travailler pour un leader qui n&#039;est qu&#039;un missile non guid\u00e9 : une boule de feu d&#039;\u00e9nergie, sans aucun sens de l&#039;orientation \u2013 ou qui va dans toutes les directions possibles. Je parie que vous connaissez ce type de personne. Ce qu&#039;il faut aux postes de direction, ce sont des personnes capables de planifier le travail et de mettre en \u0153uvre le plan. \u00a0<\/p><p>Autrement dit, diriger et g\u00e9rer. C&#039;est particuli\u00e8rement important en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Saisissez l&#039;instant!<\/strong><\/p><p>Tous les superviseurs et gestionnaires de la plan\u00e8te devraient saluer C\u00e9sar pour leur avoir offert le moment id\u00e9al pour planifier et \u00e9valuer : la nouvelle ann\u00e9e. Certains processus sont meilleurs que d&#039;autres. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que l&#039;\u00e9valuation et la planification sont des processus de gestion d&#039;une importance vitale, vous rendriez un grand service \u00e0 tout le monde en vous posant quelques questions :\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><em>Que me disent les indicateurs sur les tendances \u00e0 long terme \u2013 pour le meilleur et pour le pire ?<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>Bien que les processus d\u2019\u00e9valuation des performances des organisations se concentrent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sur l\u2019ann\u00e9e civile pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, le v\u00e9ritable niveau de performance en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 se trouve plus probablement dans des mesures \u00e0 plus long terme qui ne sont pas soumises \u00e0 des variations al\u00e9atoires.\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><em>Que me disent les informations sur le comment et le pourquoi des \u00e9v\u00e9nements, grands et petits ?<\/em><\/li><\/ul><p>Les informations telles que les dossiers de formation, les rapports d&#039;enqu\u00eate, d&#039;inspection et d&#039;audit repr\u00e9sentent un univers bien plus vaste que les indicateurs. Un examen attentif des informations fournit des informations qui ne se trouvent pas dans les chiffres.\u00a0<\/p><p>Par exemple, la lecture d&#039;un an de rapports d&#039;enqu\u00eate peut r\u00e9v\u00e9ler des tendances, des probl\u00e8mes et des objectifs pour les plans d&#039;am\u00e9lioration de l&#039;ann\u00e9e \u00e0 venir. Vous recevrez \u00e9ventuellement l&#039;\u00e9valuation de votre patron, mais personne n&#039;est mieux plac\u00e9 que vous pour juger de votre performance.<\/p><p>Adoptez la discipline de poser des questions comme celles-ci, les plans que vous ferez seront encore meilleurs.<\/p><p><strong>Leadership, leadership, leadership<\/strong><\/p><p>Les fonctions de gestion de planification, d&#039;organisation et d&#039;\u00e9valuation sont relativement simples et directes. Elles sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement ex\u00e9cut\u00e9es dans le cadre convivial du bureau et de la salle de conf\u00e9rence, sur ordinateur, avec le luxe du temps et l&#039;absence de distractions.<\/p><p>En comparaison, le leadership se d\u00e9roule en temps r\u00e9el, dans le monde r\u00e9el. Plus important encore, le leadership implique des suiveurs : des personnes r\u00e9elles qui ne sont pas g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement pr\u00e9dispos\u00e9es \u00e0 suivre les plans et les instructions que leur donnent leurs dirigeants. L\u2019ex\u00e9cution est le ma\u00eetre mot, et certains se sont montr\u00e9s meilleurs que tous leurs pairs.
