C&#039;est pourquoi ils sont pay\u00e9s tr\u00e8s cher.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Essayez de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 la question dans le contexte de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Lorsqu&#039;il s&#039;agit de veiller \u00e0 ce que les bonnes personnes qui font le travail de votre entreprise rentrent chez elles, bien vivantes \u00e0 la fin de la journ\u00e9e, qui est vraiment le leader le plus important de l&#039;entreprise\u00a0? Est-ce le leader du bureau du coin au si\u00e8ge mondial, ou un autre leader travaillant ailleurs dans l&#039;entreprise\u00a0?<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>La r\u00e9ponse est \u00e9vidente \u2013 pour moi. C&#039;est du moins le cas maintenant. Lorsqu&#039;il s&#039;agit de g\u00e9rer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, le leader le plus important de l&#039;entreprise est celui qui a le bureau du coin \u2013 juste \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l&#039;atelier.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Non seulement ce leader est le plus important pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, mais ce leader a le plus de pouvoir pour veiller \u00e0 ce que tout le monde rentre chez lui sain et sauf.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Si cela vous semble tout \u00e0 fait absurde, vous devez consacrer quelques minutes \u00e0 examiner le r\u00f4le que joue le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne dans la direction et la gestion des performances de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Comme mon p\u00e8re \u2013 qui \u00e9tait le directeur d&#039;usine de cette usine \u2013 l&#039;a dit : \u00ab Paul, le superviseur a le travail le plus difficile de l&#039;entreprise.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Ce fut un \u00e9norme Moment de Haute Influence !\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Le\u00e7on apprise, tout de suite, et l\u00e0. Chaque jour, le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne est personnellement responsable de la gestion d&#039;un ensemble d&#039;activit\u00e9s qui jouent un r\u00f4le direct dans la d\u00e9termination du r\u00e9sultat de la journ\u00e9e en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Ils accomplissent ces t\u00e2ches parce qu&#039;ils leur ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s par leurs dirigeants : c&#039;est leur travail en ce qui concerne la gestion de la performance en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Quant \u00e0 savoir ce que sont ces devoirs, tout est tellement \u00e9vident. Si le probl\u00e8me n&#039;est pas important, le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne devrait r\u00e9soudre le probl\u00e8me.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Ces t\u00e2ches assign\u00e9es s&#039;ajoutent \u00e0 l&#039;ex\u00e9cution de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. La qualit\u00e9 de l&#039;exercice de ces fonctions de leadership d\u00e9termine en grande partie la performance en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Ne me croyez pas sur parole : sortez votre liste de blessures, lisez leurs causes imm\u00e9diates \u2013 comme \u00ab\u00a0manque de formation\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0n&#039;a pas suivi la proc\u00e9dure\u00a0\u00bb \u2013 et demandez-vous quel leader de l&#039;entreprise \u00e9tait le mieux plac\u00e9 pour emp\u00eacher que d&#039;arriver. Dans la plupart des cas, ce sera le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne. Oui, le r\u00f4le du superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne est si important.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Mais attendez, il y a plus.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Il s&#039;agit de savoir ce qui se passe. Consid\u00e9rez cela comme la visibilit\u00e9 des performances, qui consiste exactement \u00e0 savoir ce qui se passe r\u00e9ellement, pour le meilleur ou pour le pire. Confondre perception et r\u00e9alit\u00e9 s&#039;est av\u00e9r\u00e9e nocive pour les carri\u00e8res et fatale aux personnes au travail.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>De tout membre de la direction, le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne est le mieux plac\u00e9 pour conna\u00eetre la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 pour ce qu&#039;elle est. Ils voient directement l&#039;\u00e9tat des outils et de l&#039;\u00e9quipement ; l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 et la conformit\u00e9 des m\u00e9thodes et proc\u00e9dures ; les comp\u00e9tences et le niveau de performance de ceux qui font le travail. Le probl\u00e8me auquel chaque cadre est confront\u00e9 - qu&#039;il veuille l&#039;admettre ou non - est que plus il est \u00e9loign\u00e9 de l&#039;op\u00e9ration, moins il est susceptible de savoir ce qui se passe r\u00e9ellement dans\u00a0<em>leur\u00a0<\/em>op\u00e9ration.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Ce n&#039;est pas un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne nouveau. Peter Drucker l&#039;a qualifi\u00e9 de \u00ab\u00a0l&#039;isolement du chef de l&#039;ex\u00e9cutif\u00a0\u00bb. En 1954, il \u00e9crivait : \u00ab \u2026 tout ce qui est apport\u00e9\u2026 pour information ou d\u00e9cision est n\u00e9cessairement pr\u00e9dig\u00e9r\u00e9, formalis\u00e9 et abstrait. C&#039;est une distillation plut\u00f4t que l&#039;\u00e9toffe brute de la vie. Vous pouvez voir le probl\u00e8me : les choses qui comptent vraiment pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sont les \u00ab\u00a0trucs bruts\u00a0\u00bb de la vraie vie dans les op\u00e9rations.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Si l&#039;information est un pouvoir, quel pouvoir pensez-vous qu&#039;un PDG avec une visibilit\u00e9 sur les performances limit\u00e9e poss\u00e8de r\u00e9ellement\u00a0?<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Ensuite, il y a la question de l&#039;influence.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Il est juste de dire qu&#039;un cadre sup\u00e9rieur a un pouvoir formel beaucoup plus important qu&#039;un superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne. Diff\u00e9renci\u00e9 du pouvoir formel, fonction du niveau et de la conception du poste, l&#039;influence s&#039;exerce sur la base de facteurs relationnels tels que la confiance, le respect et la cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9. L&#039;influence peut \u00eatre du soft power, mais ne pensez pas que cette forme de pouvoir n&#039;est pas\u2026 euh\u2026.. puissante.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Au cours des quatre derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, un certain nombre d&#039;enqu\u00eates sur les organisations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es sur la question de l&#039;influence. On demande aux gens\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Quand vient le temps de vous parler des affaires de l&#039;entreprise, quel niveau dans l&#039;entreprise a le plus de confiance, de respect, de cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 et d&#039;influence\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Les r\u00e9sultats sont remarquablement coh\u00e9rents, quelle que soit l&#039;entreprise ou l&#039;entreprise : \u00e0 une \u00e9crasante majorit\u00e9, la r\u00e9ponse est \u00ab mon superviseur \u00bb.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>C&#039;est parfaitement logique : les relations sont importantes pour influencer ; la proximit\u00e9 est importante dans les relations. Pour ceux qui font le travail, le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne est vraiment le visage de l&#039;entreprise.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>Pouvoir\u00a0: th\u00e9orie contre pratique<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0<br \/>En ce qui concerne le pouvoir de g\u00e9rer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, il y a une autre chose importante que chaque leader doit comprendre. Alors que la vision th\u00e9orique de l&#039;organigramme sugg\u00e8re que les hauts sup\u00e9rieurs ont toujours plus de pouvoir que les inf\u00e9rieurs, en pratique, ce n&#039;est pas n\u00e9cessairement ainsi que le pouvoir fonctionne.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Vous comprenez d\u00e9j\u00e0 une raison : l&#039;influence \u2013 le soft power \u2013 augmente avec la proximit\u00e9. Ce n&#039;est pas l&#039;inverse.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Dans le cas de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, il y a une deuxi\u00e8me raison pour laquelle le pouvoir ne suit pas l&#039;organigramme : l&#039;arr\u00eat du travail. Au cours de mes voyages, je n&#039;ai encore rencontr\u00e9 personne dans le monde \u00e0 qui on n&#039;ait pas dit : \u00ab Si vous pensez que le travail n&#039;est pas s\u00fbr, vous pouvez arr\u00eater le travail. Je suis s\u00fbr que vous l&#039;avez fait, et j&#039;esp\u00e8re que vous arr\u00eatez ces emplois que vous jugez dangereux.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>En mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, la possibilit\u00e9 d&#039;arr\u00eater le travail est une forme de pouvoir formel aussi pure que n&#039;importe qui peut avoir. Le pouvoir est absolu et le r\u00e9sultat est garanti. Le travail est arr\u00eat\u00e9 et personne n&#039;est bless\u00e9. C&#039;est le pouvoir !<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Qui a le pouvoir d&#039;arr\u00eater un travail ? N&#039;importe qui. Toutes les personnes.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>En pratique, qui est le plus susceptible de se trouver en mesure d&#039;exercer ce pouvoir ? Arr\u00eater un travail qui doit \u00eatre arr\u00eat\u00e9\u00a0? La r\u00e9ponse est tellement \u00e9vidente : la personne qui fait le travail et son superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Une raison de plus pour expliquer pourquoi le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne est si important \u2013 et si puissant \u2013 dans la pratique.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>La perception n&#039;est pas la r\u00e9alit\u00e9<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Le pouvoir de l&#039;organisation est l&#039;exemple parfait pour d\u00e9mystifier le mythe : \u00ab\u00a0La perception est la r\u00e9alit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est la r\u00e9alit\u00e9, m\u00eame quand elle n&#039;en a pas l&#039;air. Alors que le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne peut \u00eatre per\u00e7u comme manquant d&#039;autorit\u00e9 et \u00eatre largement invisible pour la haute direction, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, le superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne joue un r\u00f4le extr\u00eamement important et incroyablement puissant dans la gestion des performances de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Si vous \u00eates un superviseur de premi\u00e8re ligne, la meilleure chose \u00e0 faire est d&#039;appr\u00e9cier le pouvoir dont vous disposez et de l&#039;utiliser \u00e0 bon escient pour faire la diff\u00e9rence.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Si vous \u00eates un cadre sup\u00e9rieur, la meilleure chose que vous puissiez faire est d&#039;appr\u00e9cier le pouvoir que vous accordez \u00e0 vos superviseurs de premi\u00e8re ligne et de tirer pleinement parti de leur pouvoir.
