Il y a cinquante ans, l'astronaute Neil Armstrong est devenu le premier humain \u00e0 poser le pied sur la Lune. Les scientifiques et ing\u00e9nieurs de la NASA ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 relever le plus grand d\u00e9fi technique - et l'entreprise humaine la plus risqu\u00e9e - du XXe si\u00e8cle.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
Au cours de la premi\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie de vols spatiaux habit\u00e9s aux \u00c9tats-Unis, aucune vie humaine n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 perdue dans l'espace. Dans la gestion des risques, il n'y a pas de meilleure r\u00e9ussite.<\/span>

Cela ne veut pas dire qu'aucune vie n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 perdue dans la poursuite de cet objectif ambitieux. En 1967, un accident mortel a co\u00fbt\u00e9 la vie \u00e0 trois astronautes au sol: \u00e0 la rampe de lancement, s'entra\u00eenant au d\u00e9collage dans une capsule spatiale scell\u00e9e enrichie en oxyg\u00e8ne, quand un incendie s'est d\u00e9clar\u00e9. Le sauvetage s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9 impossible, en partie parce que 28 loquets ont scell\u00e9 le port d'entr\u00e9e.<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
R\u00e9trospectivement, c'\u00e9tait un \u00e9v\u00e9nement qui \u00e9tait non seulement \u00e9vitable mais \u00e9vident: une atmosph\u00e8re d'oxyg\u00e8ne pur \u00e0 16 PSI, avec l'une des meilleures inventions de la NASA - Velcro - coll\u00e9e partout.<\/span>

Carburant, oxyg\u00e8ne; tout ce qui manquait \u00e9tait une source de chaleur, et il n'en fallait pas beaucoup pour d\u00e9clencher le Triangle du Feu. Pourquoi pensez-vous que tous ces scientifiques et ing\u00e9nieurs ont rat\u00e9 ce danger potentiellement mortel?<\/span>

Serait-ce parce que la capsule et les \u00e9quipages \u00e9taient assis au sol? Ce n'\u00e9tait pas arriv\u00e9 avant? C'\u00e9tait juste un exercice d'entra\u00eenement? La situation \u00e9tait tout simplement trop \u00e9vidente?<\/span>
