Cuando se trata de nuestra seguridad personal, en el trabajo y en el hogar, hacemos una gran cantidad de suposiciones sobre cosas y personas todos los d\u00edas. Peque\u00f1os y grandes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hacer suposiciones comienza con el viaje al trabajo. Conduciendo a trav\u00e9s de un sem\u00e1foro que muestra verde, asumimos que todos los conductores que se aproximen se detendr\u00e1n cuando su lado se vea rojo. Cuando somos el conductor que se aproxima, asumimos que los frenos de nuestro autom\u00f3vil funcionar\u00e1n. En el cruce ferroviario, suponemos que si la puerta est\u00e1 levantada y las luces no parpadean, no viene ning\u00fan tren.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sin embargo, todos sabemos por experiencia que se sabe que los conductores pasan luces rojas y detienen las se\u00f1ales; se sabe que fallan los veh\u00edculos; Las se\u00f1ales de cruce de ferrocarril no siempre funcionan seg\u00fan lo dise\u00f1ado.<\/span><\/p>\n

Por otro lado, en el trabajo estamos obligados a hacer ciertas cosas porque no se nos permite asumir algo. Nos ponemos un casco porque no podemos asumir que nada caer\u00e1 y nos golpear\u00e1 en la cabeza. Nos aferramos a la barandilla en la escalera porque no se nos permite suponer que no tropezaremos y caeremos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es imposible verificar dos veces cada cosa en el mundo, o persona en el planeta, que pueda representar una fuente de da\u00f1o para nosotros. Pero no est\u00e1 de m\u00e1s considerar lo que estamos asumiendo. Y cada vez que hacemos un esfuerzo para "confiar, pero verificar", estamos dando un paso positivo para volver a casa con vida y bien al final del d\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n

Si est\u00e1 buscando un ejemplo m\u00e1s de "suponiendo que ...", aqu\u00ed hay una historia m\u00e1s sobre algo aparentemente peque\u00f1o, un pedazo de madera, que no estaba en la condici\u00f3n en que se supon\u00eda que era. El fracaso result\u00f3 fatal.<\/span><\/p>\n
