Y fui yo.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Ahora realmente: \u00bfel desaf\u00edo de la gente nueva es tan grande como los l\u00edderes creen que es?\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Trayendo los datos<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Hace unos a\u00f1os, una afluencia de informes de lesiones plante\u00f3 el problema dentro de la Administraci\u00f3n de Salud y Seguridad Minera. Los investigadores del Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional (NIOSH) se propusieron investigar el desaf\u00edo de las \u201cpersonas nuevas\u201d. \u201cTiene mucho sentido que haya personas nuevas que resulten heridas a un ritmo mayor\u201d, explic\u00f3 Launa Mallett, miembro del equipo de NIOSH.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>En cuanto a los datos, &quot;... hemos descubierto que hay mucho m\u00e1s en la historia&quot;. UU., creando estimaciones de distribuci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n que les permitieron medir las tasas de lesiones por niveles de experiencia, desde los nuevos empleados hasta las personas de mayor rango en la industria.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>La combinaci\u00f3n de los informes de lesiones por d\u00edas perdidos no fatales de MSHA con los datos de la encuesta de NIOSH hizo que estimar las tasas de lesiones por a\u00f1os de experiencia fuera un peque\u00f1o paso:\u00a0<em>para ellos<\/em>.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u00a1Y un gran salto para el resto de nosotros! Como nuevo en el trabajo, sus observaciones tendr\u00e1n una influencia enorme.<\/p><p><strong>Informaci\u00f3n y datos<\/strong><\/p><p>Si bien los l\u00edderes han estado diciendo durante a\u00f1os que ven el problema, la mayor\u00eda de los sitios no tienen tanta gente nueva cada a\u00f1o y las tasas de lesiones son relativamente bajas. As\u00ed que es f\u00e1cil ver c\u00f3mo el problema de la gente nueva no aparecer\u00eda en las m\u00e9tricas de seguridad. MSHA y NIOSH tienen la ventaja de la escala para producir datos \u00fatiles, en este caso, tasas de lesiones.<\/p><p>Pero este esfuerzo comenz\u00f3 con informaci\u00f3n: informes de lesiones individuales. Para comprender el desempe\u00f1o y los procesos de seguridad, la informaci\u00f3n puede ser muy \u00fatil.
